A Party?

Yesterday Molly asked me if I wanted to have a party. She told me about a conversation between her and a couple of other women in the departmant.

Yes, I'd like to have my time and retirement acknowledged. I had thought to give myself a party but haven't decided when or where. I'm a bit shy about telling her "Yes" but I know I'd be disappointed if there wasn't some sort of recognition that I am leaving.

Molly picked April 25. My last day will be April 27.

I'm pretty sure that I'll be back there to assist with unfinished tasks and train the new half-time secretary. Amy asked me if I'd come back to do that.

I feel a little sad that I am the one who thought of having a party for myself... out of the office, I mean. Who would do it but me, though? Essentially I have no family.

BUT, no gifts!!
